Our First JET Challenge is This Weekend...
The Jewelry on Etsy Team wants YOU to visit out blog this weekend to vote for your favorite entry in our very first JET Bead Challenge!Of course, everyone wanted to play! Only ten were fast enough to be entered into the first challenge. There will be more!Two weeks ago, the ten JET members received two beads. The beads are six sided yellow mother of pearl or shell. The only rule was ... anything you make must have both beads used in the design! No restrictions means ... plenty of imagination!Each participant has made something entirely different! This shows exactly how talented and imaginative our members really are. The variety of the pieces entered is simply amazing! Every one of these designs is a winner, no matter the outcome of this challenge ... each entry is special and truly one of a kind, just the way handmade jewelry is supposed to be. I imagine each piece will have its fans ... it could be close!So ... what's in it for you? Well ... we've got some great prizes!Each shop that is participating has donated a piece of jewelry. It is up to the shop owner what that is; it may or may not be the bead challenge piece. But any piece of handcrafted jewelry from ANY of these shops is a really nice prize! Five prizes will be won through participation here on the blog; and five will be awarded to participants in our Etsy Promotions Forum thread.SO ... now that I've said that ...
